Over the years as an entertainer, I have learned how important it is to communicate in an open an honest way with your audience. I have seen many performers that don’t use their voice properly. They yell into the microphone, or they put on a voice that is not really who they are. I came to realize early on that if you use your voice in a natural, relaxed and honest way, you can bring your audience in. I believe that is the key to making an audience feel comfortable with you as a person, and more willing to take in what you have to offer. I see that in some of the recording artists I most admire. I remember a woman once left a message on my answering machine. She said, “I’m sorry I dialed the wrong number, but you have a very nice voice!”
I have done many voiceovers for my different video projects and have gotten a lot of positive response from them. Many people have told me I should go into the voiceover field. Well I’m here to go down this path. I really enjoy using my voice to bring copy to life. As I think you will see, I’m not the voice for the Superbowl, or the Indi 500. I believe what I have is a calming voice that can bring people in, make them feel comfortable and welcome with what I am saying.
